Lucy Williams is an early career researcher at the University of Liverpool. Her doctoral research utilised both archival and digital research methodologies to examine the life experiences and offences of women in nineteenth century England (London and Liverpool). Her interests include the study of women and gender, crime and criminal justice, the social history of Britain and Australia, and methods of ‘whole-life narrative’ analysis. She is author of a popular blog, and regularly contributes to social media about crime.
