Emma Watkins completed her MA at Cardiff University and then begun her AHRC funded PhD at the University of Liverpool in 2014. The current working title of her PhD is “The lives and criminal careers of nineteenth-century juvenile offenders”. This involves a life-course analysis using data-linkage of digital records, which will allow both a qualitative and quantitative analysis of the criminal and familial lives of these offenders.
